Jackson was a one-man wrecking crew. He ripped a solo home run in the 1st
inning, belted a three-run homer in the 5th inning and lofted a three-run
bomb (his 3rd of the season) in the 8th inning. maadi bats were hot in the
8th inning with 8 runs on 8 hits. A wild and woolly affair, this game saw
the lead change 6 times.

Turk Lown(1-0) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Jimmy
Dygert(0-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was touched for 5 homeruns
in his 3 innings of work.

2010 Season

Jay Bruce blasts 3 home runs in 8-7 victory over Pals

Jay Bruce ripped 3 home runs and had 4 RBI as the Cincinnati Suds defeated the
Kingsport Pals by a score of 8 to 7 at Miller Park

Bruce had a great day at the plate. He ripped a solo home run in the 2nd
inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 4th inning and smashed a
solo-shot out of the park (his 10th of the season) in the 7th inning.
Kingsport had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.

The win was credited to Leo Nunez(1-1) who went 3 innings allowing no runs.
Arthur Rhodes was credited with his 5th save. Ernesto Frieri(1-2) suffered
the loss in relief.

Rick Dempsey was clearly disappointed after the game. ‘It was a manager’s
nightmare out there’, he said, ‘We should have had this one.’

Juan Guzman fires shutout in 9-0 Suckholes win

Juan Guzman blanked Roid allowing just 2 hits at Anaheim Stadium as the
Sucky Suckholes beat the woeful Roid Bombers 9 to 0.

Guzman(1-0) was tremendous on the mound for Sucky. He was stingy on the
mound, allowing just 2 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings. Sucky totaled 15 hits
on the afternoon.

Randy Tomlin(2-2) was the losing pitcher. He gave up 6 hits and 1 walk in 5
and 1/3 innings. ‘All of my pitches were working today,’ Guzman said. ‘I
felt really good out there, and heck, I think I could have gone longer.’

1999 Season

Tony Batista hits 2 home runs in 9-6 victory over Roiders

Shortstop Tony Batista launched 2 home runs as the #sunrise hangovers defeated
the 20th Century Roiders by a score of 9 to 6 at The Skydome

Omar Daal(8-8) pitched well enough to earn the win. He went 7 and 1/3 innings
allowing 12 hits and 2 walks. Carlos Castillo pitched a perfect ninth and
was credited with his 1st save.

Ramiro Mendoza(2-6) took the loss. #sunrise scored big getting 5 runs off him
in 2 and 1/3 innings. #sunrise now has a record of 29-37. Still in a bad
slump, with this loss, 20th Century is 2-8 lately and 28-38 on the year.
