CREEPERS beat the Threat Level: Midnight II by a score of 9 to 7.
Howard had a big day at the plate. He smashed a bases-empty ‘big-fly’ in the
2nd inning, belted a three-run homer in the 3rd inning and blasted a two-run
home run (his 42nd of the season) in the 7th inning. Due to a poorly pitched
ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings was still not enough for Threat
Level: to come away with the victory.
Ken Dayley(1-0) went 3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Dayley was
helped out by Pete Richert who recorded his 3rd save. Al Hrabosky(3-3) ended
up with the loss in relief. He pitched 4 innings giving up 6 hits and 1
‘The ball was jumping off my bat’ Howard said. ‘I didn’t do anything
differently, it’s the same way I always approach the game.’
Marcus Thames smashed 3 home runs and had 6 RBI at Yankee Stadium where the
Dogtown Doggies beat the MOTBY Personnel 11 to 4.
Thames enjoyed a great day at the plate. He cracked a two-run shot in the 1st
inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 3rd inning and smashed a
two-run homer (his 23rd of the season) in the 5th inning. Dogtown and MOTBY
each finished the afternoon with 12 hits.
The win was credited to Jaime Garcia(5-2) who went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing
4 runs. Joe Thatcher recorded his 3rd save. Zack Greinke(9-7) ended up with
the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 6 and 2/3 innings of work.
The Dogtown ballclub’s record now stands at 38-30. With the loss MOTBY now
has a record of 35-33.

Second baseman Bret Boone blasted 2 home runs and scored 3 times and Ramon
Martinez allowed special sauce to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
as the big mac attack defeated the inept Hard Times 29 by the score of 6 to 4
at The Astrodome
Boone made sure the big mac fans enjoyed themselves. He delivered a single in
the 1st inning, ripped a base-knock in the 3rd inning, hit a bases-empty home
run in the 6th inning and lofted a solo-blast ‘downtown’ (his 19th of the
season) in the 7th inning. big mac took care of Hard with no trouble in the
Martinez(12-13) finished the game allowing 4 runs in the victory. The loss was
charged to Andy Pettitte(5-16). He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 5 and
1/3 innings of work.
Jeff Bagwell hit a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Tigers Love Children defeated
the Quebec Reds by the score of 8 to 4 at Fenway Park
Bagwell enjoyed a big day at the plate. He doubled plating a run in the 6th
inning and rifled a three-run blast (his 3rd of the season) in the 7th
inning. Tigers ended up with 10 hits for the game while Quebec had 6.
Scott Williamson(3-2) was the winner allowing 1 run in 3 and 2/3 innings. Jose
Paniagua earned his 4th save. David Wells(0-4) was hit with the loss. With
this win, Tigers has a division leading 16-9 record. They have been 6-4
lately. Quebec has a record of 10-15 after the loss.
