Red Lucas completed the game without help from the bullpen at Minute Maid
Field as the incredible TLV – 80 Pomeranians beat the struggling Boyhood
Idols by the count of 3 to 2.

TLV – 80 took the lead for keeps in the top of the 7th inning plating a single
run. TLV – 80 banged out 8 hits on the afternoon.

Lucas(20-15) lasted until the end allowing 2 runs for the win. Nolan
Ryan(11-19) absorbed the loss. Despite losing, he struckout 15 TLV – 80
batters in 9 innings.

2010 Season

Michael Bourn steals 5 bases in 5-0 victory over Dreaded

John Danks(13-14)with the aid of the bullpen shut down the Deltona Dreaded
hitters at Comerica Park The Weehawken Warriors came away with a 5 to 0
victory.

Weehawken went ahead for good in the bottom of the 6th inning scoring 2
runners on 2 hits. Weehawken had just 6 hits for the afternoon.

Danks got help from Ryan Madson who was credited with his 3rd save. Roy
Oswalt(20-12) was the loser. He allowed 3 runs and 5 hits in 6 innings.

Back to the ’90s

Doug Drabek notches 28th win in 6-1 victory over Breeze

Doug Drabek pitched a 3 hitter and Rickey Henderson went yard and had 5 RBI at
The Astrodome as the Los Mets Suck beat the Brooklyn Breeze 6 to
1.

Henderson had a good day at the plate. He doubled in the 1st inning, belted a
three-run homer (his 20th of the season) in the 3rd inning and doubled
plating two runs in the 7th inning. Los Mets had 11 hits for the afternoon.

Drabek(28-6) got the victory, allowing 1 run for the game. Kevin Appier(8-17)
was given the loss. He gave up 10 hits and 1 walk in 6 and 1/3 innings.

Sparky was obviously impressed with the pitching of Drabek, ‘That guy made us
look a little silly out there this afternoon. We just couldn’t get to him at
all – everything was working for him. I just hope that he got that kinda
performance out of his system.’

1999 Season

Fernando Tatis blasts 2 home runs in 5-4 victory over hangovers

Third baseman Fernando Tatis launched 2 home runs as the XTC Pumpkinheads
defeated the #sunrise hangovers by the score of 5 to 4 at Camden Yards

The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Tatis. He laced a single in the 2nd inning, ripped a solo home
run in the 6th inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 4th of the
season) in the 8th inning. It was roller coaster of a game as the lead
change hands 5 times.

Danny Graves(1-0) went 2 and 2/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Graves
was helped out by Armando Benitez who recorded his 4th save. The losing
pitcher was Derek Lowe(0-1) in relief. He gave up 1 run and 2 hits in 1 and
2/3 innings.
