hit with the loss in relief.
Vinny Castilla rocketed 2 home runs and had 4 RBI as the Quebec Reds defeated
the Kia Soul Hamsters 16 to 11 at Kauffman Stadium
Castilla had a good day at the plate. He belted a three-run homer in the 2nd
inning and lofted a solo-blast ‘downtown’ (his 2nd of the season) in the 5th
inning. Quebec provided plenty of action in the 4th inning with 4 runs on 4
hits and the 7th inning when they had 5 runs on 3 hits. Despite scoring in 5
separate innings, Kia Soul could not get the win.
The win went to Stan Belinda(1-0) who allowed 1 run in 3 innings. Randy
Johnson(1-1) was the losing pitcher. He allowed Quebec 10 runs in 4 innings
